FACT:  For all you Merriewolder's, let us not forget that it was the Sipos Family who worked diligently on your behalf to assure that the Slavick home was returned to Merriewold Park, keeping the best interest of Merriewold Park in mind as always.

LIE: There is money missing from the Town and Bill Sipos took it. 

TRUTH:   There is not a PENNY missing from the Town and Bill Sipos would NEVER EVER take a dime!  In fact, when John Sipos (Bill's father) left office, he left $750,000.00 in the town's coffers, and Jim Galligan completely depleted those funds so that when Supervisor Bill Sipos took office, there was ZERO in the coffers.  Supervisor Sipos has built up our reserves and we now have a positive balance with ZERO debt!!
 

LIE:   The Sipos family brought ASTI to Forestburgh because they were selling them a piece of property. 

TRUTH:  Absolute LIE.  The Sipos' had nothing to do with them coming here AT ALL.  They never showed them ANY such property and only learned of them coming to town the same time the Town Board did.
 

LIE:   Dan Hogue has stated that he never went over budget as the Highway Superintendent once. 

TRUTH:  Dan Hogue consistently went over budget and then had to come back before the board to ask for more money because he ran out on several occasions.
 

LIE:   Dan Hogue has stated that he manages the largest portion of the towns budget. 

TRUTH:  The Town Supervisor, Bill Sipos handles the ENTIRE town's budget, which includes highway therefore making IT the largest portion because it is ALL INCLUSIVE!!!              
 

LIE:   Dan Hogue says he will bring better accountability and transparency to the Town Hall. 

TRUTH:  Dan Hogue has NEVER in his entire 20 years as Highway Superintendent provided any books and/or ledgers regarding town equipment maintenance, gas usage, millage records and has outright refused to do so.  In September of 2015, Dan handed in vouchers from April through July of 2015 (5 months late) from Shakelton Auto and Truck.  Why does it take 5 months to hand in?  The last time the bills were late for Shakelton, they were 2 years late and the town board refused to pay them. 
 

LIE:   Dan Hogue has stated that by electing him Supervisor, he will mend the broken relationship and facilitate better communication between the Highway Department and the Town Hall. 

TRUTH:  The men who currently work under Dan Hogue are NOT happy with him at all.  They are brow-beaten into submission to keep their mouths shut and are not allowed to speak at ANY board meetings for fear of reprisal and some fear if he becomes Supervisor it will only get worse.
 

LIE:   Strained relationship between the Highway Department and the Town Hall is the fault of Bill Sipos. 

TRUTH:  Bill Sipos has on more than one occasion gone to the Town Barn to try and work things out with Dan Hogue only to be told to "get the f@@k out of here".  Katherine Barnhart was put into place to be the so-called liaison between highway and town, however, all she did was further exacerbate the problems thus severing all ties therefore causing a further rift. 
 

LIE:   Dan Hogue continuously spouts "better leadership and accountability". 

TRUTH:   Dan Hogue has been working a job in Bridgeville as a salesman and has NOT been able to be reached for town business over the past couple of weeks.  The road crew repairing the bridge on State Rte 42 by the blinking light had to come into the Town Hall because they COULD NOT REACH HIM and he was suppose to take material away with his trucks to the barn.  Also a contractor building a house had to come into the Town Hall and was very frustrated because he COULD NOT REACH HIM and was not getting any returned calls as he needed a driveway permit.  THIS IS ACCOUNTABILITY? GOOD LEADERSHIP?  What happens if the town has an emergency?  Where will Dan be? 
 

LIE:  There have been cries of Supervisor Sipos having a "personal agenda". 

TRUTH:  Katherine Barnhart and Richard Robbins have worked diligently to discredit and spread lies about Bill Sipos and his family with the hopes of getting Dan Hogue elected.  The fact is that Katherine Barnhart became upset with Supervisor Sipos because, as per Richard Robbins, "she felt that the Town Board should have backed her in her fight with the Ag (Agricultural) District against Stuart Salinger".  However, this was NOT the town's fight and as per counsel the town was told "its the legislator's issue, not a town issue."  Katherine bought her house which borders Stuart Salinger's property, which at the time of purchase was up and operating with exotic animals already in place.  These are the very same animals by the way that are at every Forestburgh Day, which he donates his time and the animals for FREE.  She then complained about the smell and wanted to shut him down.  Now I ask you, "Who buys a house next to a farm where there are animals that smell and then expects the farmer to move?"  Who has the personal agenda?
