The future of Forestburgh rests first and foremost in YOUR hands, however, working diligently as Supervisor Sipos has in the last 10 years (4 as Supervisor and 6 as Councilman), my goal is to continue to ensure the community that we have all come to enjoy and share as some of us born and raised here have enjoyed for an entire lifetime. I have worked to preserve the history that Forestburgh has so richly enjoyed along with keeping us financially solvent as well as protecting us from the changes at our borders. Under my leadership, I have clearly been an objective voice for ALL that live here, play here, work here and from time to time seasonally reside here. I am not swayed or controlled by ANY type of group and have demonstrated this time and time again. The processes in which we have in place have worked numerous times. I have always been there for you whether in this capacity or just as a regular part of this community whether it be as a neighbor, a friend or the hired help. Some people, because of personal agendas have taken great time and went to great lengths to undermine what I myself and my family have stood by and demonstrated countless times in this community for 51 years. Some of these people were once trusted friends and sought the support of our family on numerous occasions throughout the years. It is extremely disheartening and with great regret that this is no longer the case.
I PROMISE TO CONTINUE THE FOLLOWING WHEN RE-ELECTED AS SUPERVISOR:
- Total accountability, be it fiscal or otherwise.
- Responsibility, dependability, and accessibility as always.
- I will continue to build our reserves back up.
- Maintain and preserve our history, which also includes the Old Schoolhouse that I used my own personal money for, which is Black Brook District #3.
- Will work diligently to preserve our way of life in Forestburgh of which we have all come to know and love.
- I will put together a committee to help residents that are in need of assistance within the town.
Thank you advance for all your support,
Sincerely, Bill Sipos
A few FACTS about my opponent that I think you will find interesting:
- Memorial Day Services: This service was founded by my father, previous Supervisor, John J. Sipos to honor our fallen heroes. My opponent has never once attended a memorial service since the triangle was put together for our servicemen and yet his own father was a veteran.
- Forestburgh Day: Forestburgh Day was started 10 years ago underneath the prior Supervisor and my opponent has attended only one (1).
- Boy Scouts: My opponent is a scout master and yet did not attend an Eagle Scout Ceremony that took place this past June for a Steinberg family member, a third generation Eagle Scout with public officials there. My opponent did not bother to attend or even respond to the invitation for the ceremony in June. He is also the scout master who helped mentor the recipient of this award.
- Town of Forestburgh Cemetery: My opponent was asked several times by the Town Board to help clean up the town cemetery and help fill in the back graves, which have sunken down. However, no action was taken and we were forced to put together a small group of people to clean up the cemetery to the best of our ability and we are STILL waiting for ditch dirt, yet many in the town have been receiving ditch dirt on a continual basis.
- TOWN CLERK DRIVEWAY MAINTENANCE: The Town Board, earlier this year in February of 2015, passed a resolution to plow and salt the Town Clerk's driveway (Joanne Nagoda). To date, my opponent has REFUSED to plow and/or salt her driveway and as we all know, Joanne has people arriving at her house at all times of day or night for town business as she is the Registrar of Vital Statistics and there needs to be safe access in and out her driveway at all times of the day or night. The same resolution was passed in 1979 and is clearly reflected in those minutes.
- Facebook Page: Below you will find a picture of a Facebook page, which clearly depicts the type of leadership he demonstrates on a daily basis. Deputy Highway Superintendent appointed by my opponent provided the information below. I don't think I need to say anymore on this subject as it is self-explanatory. This is set up in the workplace environment that he is in charge of. Would you like to go to work under those circumstances? This opens up the town for a litany of litigation. We have been told by my opponent time and time again that he does the hiring and runs the Town Barn, perhaps this wheel (see below), if elected to Supervisor, will be placed in the Town Hall for ALL to read.
**This is George Baran's Facebook page.**
Here are just a few highlights of the above wheel:
- "I'm a worthless piece of sh*t".
- "Can't find my balls".
- "Itchy a$$hole".
- "Stay at home to masturbate."
- "I'm mad, I'm mad, I'm really fu*king mad."
I would like to respond to the "Concerned Citizens of Forestburgh" letter to all the people's names who signed the bottom of it as follows: "If my opponent, Dan Hogue is elected, these are the types of unprofessional and highly inappropriate actions we can come to expect, which does NOT reflect strong leadership or a healthy direction for the Town of Forestburgh. As the Town Supervisor, I am required to meet many types of people who enter our town either wishing to do business or just visit our town and I speak on behalf of the town. I have demonstrated that over the last 4 years continuously."
